We could not detect consistent gender differences (Tables 4 and 5), although a careful inspection of the results in Table 5 revealed that female patients had subtly higher MFV in the right MCA than male patients, especially during difficult problems of SOC and during WCST (note: the significant MFV increase in the right MCA during WCST in female patients did not remain valid when observing a more stringent significance criterion (alpha set at 0.01) using a Bonferroni correction for multiple comparisons).
