Finally, PGI2-induced thermal hyperalgesia observed in wild type mice disappeared almost completely in both TRPV1-deficient (TRPV1-/-) mice and IP-deficient (IP-/-) mice, suggesting that the functional interaction of TRPV1 with IP causes thermal hyperalgesia at the behavioral level (Figure 6).
